Hackathon for:
Parking in the city is an unpleasant and stressful experience. Availability is uncertain, often leaving the user to drive around in circles, burning both fuel and time.
​
Developed at a design sprint for Ford Mobility, Spot Check is a system intended to alleviate this mental burden. Spot Check uses existing city infrastructure such as traffic cameras, real time data and congestion statistics, to lead you to parking spaces with the highest likelihood of availability, around your desired destination. If you can’t find a spot, it automatically re-routes you to the closest high probability area, streamlining the parking experience.
