The auxetic skin is a cover designed for the Relativ deployable structure. It has to have the ability to deform and morph along with the structure.

It was designed to be visually camouflaged into its surroundings, but at the same time let through natural light.

The cover was designed as modular panels that snap into the actuator mesh of the Relativ Deployable Structure. By expanding the different legs of each triangle (polygon) the cover adapts to the shape.

Composite material consists of rigid panels held together by a flexible membrane, allowing it to expand or contract when the structure is changing shape. It provides rigidity, stopping wind and rain.

The mirrored finish allows the structure to fit into its, camouflaging it in the existing suroundings. Temporary structures tend to be an eye-soar. The goal for the auxetic skin cover was to allow structures to mimic their surroundings
